Updates
We recently launched the new online payment service IPXS. IPXS offers a host of international payment methods that can be linked to different online shopping systems. IPXS offers a safe and modern platform which is linked to external banking and telecoms systems and fulfils an independent role, as an intermediary between consumers, traders and promoters.
Payment via Mobile Phone
More and more services, both free and paid, are being made available via mobile phones. Just think of the Internet services that are offered via the mobile portals of operators, such as 3G video calls or iPhone/PDA applications. Paid services are billed and paid for via SMS text messages or e-wallets that are linked to a bank account or credit card. Operators themselves also offer their customers modern and user-friendly payment systems. These involve the costs of purchased services being charged to the account of the mobile telephone subscriber.
Vodafone Content Billing | |
The maximum rate that can be billed per SMS text message is €1.50. Larger amounts of up to €10 can be collected via Vodafone’s Content Billing service. IPXS has access to this payment option and it can be employed in the same way as premium SMS text messages are. |
KPN Safeklick | |
Safeklick it easier and simpler to carry out transactions via mobile Internet access. A single click suffices to complete a payment. The payment is offset against the end-user's mobile phone bill. This is simple for end-users and convenient for content providers. Safeklick can be used to carry out one-off payments, but also subscription payments. The system takes care of the periodic collection of subscription fees. |
SMS subscription | |
Payment by way of a text message sent by the customer. The customer subscribes to a recurring service, until the customer cancels this by sending a text message containing a cancellation code. IPXS only accepts services that meet the conditions of the SMS Code of Conduct drawn up by the foundation Stichting SMS-Gedragscode. |
